Avoid sugars (refined sugars, too) and sugary beverages, especially sodas! Opt instead for water or naturally sweetened beverages like coconut water. Sugar creates an acidic pH level in the body and urine, which causes burning and all manner of unwanted physiological side-effects (e.g., sugar feeds cancer cells and also inflames arthritis).
